Pat Sheehan MLA

Pat Sheehan MLA is one of our Assembly signatories for this event and the Institute of Consulting in Northern Ireland would like to thank him and his fellow Assembly signatories for making the Long Gallery available for this event.

Pat Sheehan, is 52 years old and gained a degree in Philosophy and Politics with First Class Honours while imprisoned.

Upon his release from prison in 1998 he became active in Sinn Féin. Pat is a member of St Gall’s GAC – and has played football for Antrim and won an Ulster school championship title and has Club championship medals in football and hurling.

Pat also worked for the republican ex-prisoners organisation, Coiste na n-Iarchími as Legacy Coordinator.

Pat was co-opted to the Assembly to replace Party President Gerry Adams and re-elected in 2011.

Pat is a member of the Policing Board and sits on the Assembly’s Culture, Arts and Leisure Committee.
